West Ham are considering making a move for Manchester United flop Alexis Sanchez.
The 31 year old Chilean striker is currently on a season long loan with Inter Milan, who have an option to buy him at the end of the season. However, they are not thinking of exercising the option, not only because of his poor form during his stay in Italy – he has managed just one goal in 15 appearances – but also because of his astronomical wages.
He will, therefore, return to Old Trafford in the summer, where he is entitled to a £500,000 loyalty bonus, part of the lucrative contract he negotiated when signing from Arsenal in January 2018.
United though, do not want to keep him, and do not consider him part of their long-term plans, and will be looking to offload him at the first available opportunity.
Despite his decline since leaving the Gunners, there is still interest in him from the Bundesliga and other Premier League clubs, including West Ham who have asked his agent Fernando Felicevich for information about his situation.
