The proposed move of Jack Grealish to Manchester United in the summer could be off, after the Aston Villa captain was involved in a high profile incident over the weekend.
The 24 year old, like many public figures, had posted a social media message to fans, exhorting them to stay at home and protect the NHS. However, he then promptly failed to follow his own advice, and partied with friends until the early hours of the morning.
And, worst still, he crashed his £80,000 Range Rover into three other vehicles, including two Mercedes, before abandoning his car after colliding with railings.
Villa are not impressed and have fined him £100,000, with the money going to a children’s hospital in Birmingham.
And, although Grealish is suitably contrite for his actions, it could cost him a proposed summer move to Manchester United, who will have noted the immense public backlash against the Villa captain.
