Real Madrid are considering bidding for Pierre Emerick Aubameyang in the summer, although he is not one of the priority targets.
Instead the Spanish giants would prefer to sign either Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund or Liverpool’s Sadio Mané.
Haaland only joined Dortmund from Red Bull Salzburg in January, but he has already scored 12 goals in 11 games for the German side, whilst Mané is the reigning African Player of the Year.
Both men are viewed as more attractive to Real because of their age profile – Mané is three years younger than the Gabonese international, whilst Haaland is still a teenager.
Barcelona and Manchester United are also tracking the Arsenal captain.
Aubameyang is under contract at the Emirates until 2021, but Arsenal are reluctantly prepared to sell him this summer because he has turned down the offer of a new deal with the club, and, learning from past mistakes, they do not want him to leave on a free in a year’s time.
