Chelsea have been linked with a summer move for 21 year old full-back Achraf Hakimi, who is on the books of Real Madrid.
The full-back has been on loan with Borussia Dortmund since the summer of 2018, but the Bundesliga side do not have the option in his contract to make the move into a permanent deal, which potentially opens the door for Chelsea.
Hakimi is a versatile player in that, although primarily right-sided, who can also play at left back as well, an attraction to Chelsea with either Marcos Alonso, or Emerson Palmieir, or feasibly both, set to leave Stamford Bridge this summer.
He is under contract at Real until 2022, and there have been no indications that he features in the long-term plans of Zinedine Zidane .
Born in Spain born to Moroccan patents, Hakimi has opted to play his international football for Morocco. He currently has 28 senior international caps for his adopted country.
