Arsenal have been linked with a move for former Liverpool target Nabil Fekir, currently playing for Real Betis in Spain.
Fekir, who can operate either in midfi4eld, or out wide, was on the verge of a move to Anfield last summer, but the deal fell through because of undisclosed injury concerns.
Instead he moved to Betis from Lyon for £17 million, just a third of what Liverpool were prepared to pay for the French international.
The Gunners are in the market for a replacement for Dani Ceballos, whose loan deal at the Emirates from Real Madrid does not include an option to buy. The Spaniard had just begun to establish himself in the first team under Mikel Arteta before the season was halted, but had yet to convince the Gunners he was worth the £40 million Real were set to demand for him.
Another player linked with a move to North London is Valencia’s Carlos Soler, but Arsenal will not make any transfer decisions whilst the Covid-19 epidemic continues to rage and before they know their budget for next season.
