Pogba wants United stay

French World Cup winner Paul Pogba is on the verge of a spectacular U-turn which could see him commit his long-term future to Manchester United.

The 26 year old had been widely expected to leave the club in the summer, with his agent Mani Raiola have dropped heavy hints frequently that he was open to a fresh challenge elsewhere, with Real Madrid, Barcelona and former club Juventus all linked with a move for him.

And, with the player entering the last two years of his contract, United were prepared to listen to offers for him in the summer.

However, with the arrival of Bruno Fernandes at the club, Pogba has had a change of mind, and believes that he can form an exciting partnership with the Portuguese. Much may depend on Champions League qualification. If United can secure it for next season then that may be enough to persuade Pogba to sign a new deal.

Pogba has not played since September because of injury, but, having trained this week, could be in contention to appear against LASK In the Europa League.
