20 year old winger Tabith Chong is set to sign a new long-term deal at Manchester United.
The Dutch under-21 international had been linked with a move away from Old Trafford, with Barcelona, Inter Milan and Juventus all interested in acquiring his services but he has decided to spurn their advances and remain at United, agreeing to a new contract worth an initial £30,000 a week.
Chong, who joined United from Dutch side Feyenoord in 2016, has made 10 appearances for United in all competitions this season, and has been persuaded to stay by the club, who have managed to convince him there is a clear pathway to regular first team football for him.
Meanwhile United are still trying to tie up a new deal for another of their promising youngsters, Angel Gomes, and are amongst the clubs leading the race to sign Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho in the summer.
