It has been revealed that Juventus forward Paolo Dybala cancelled a proposed move to Manchester United with a single phone call.
The call was made when his agent, Jorge Antun, was sat in Ed Woodward’s London office trying to hammer out a deal to take the Argentine from Juventus to Old Trafford.
Discussions about the possible move had also taken place in Turin, whilst Dybala himself visited London in January, with pictures emerging of him and his girlfriend posing outside Tower Bridge.
However, Dybala decided not to proceed, choosing to stay in Italy, citing his love of his current club, and indicating that the riches on offer to him with a move to the Premier League were not enough to entice him to switch countries.
Dybala was also linked with a move to Tottenham last summer, with former manager Mauricio Pochettino having a good relationship with his compatriot.
