Chelsea are considering making a summer move for Argentine striker Mauro Icardi.
The 27 year old is on a season long loan with PSG, and has been in fine form, scoring 19 goals and providing 4 assists in 28 appearances for the French League Champions.
However, although they have an option to make the transfer permanent at the end of the season, it is by no means certain that PSG will exercise it because the relationship with the player has become increasingly fractious.
He was left out of the team to play Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League last week and reacted angrily, throwing chairs and then refusing to speak when the team returned to Paris.
Whilst a return to Italy is a possibility, he is a divisive figure there, not least because of his wife and agent Wanda Nara, with the pair regularly featuring on the gossip pages as well as the sports sections of newspapers.
That could open the door for Chelsea, although whether they should be signing such a controversial player is another question entirely.
