Leicester City have made an initial approach to the representatives of Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana.
The 31 year old is out of contract at Anfield in the summer, and wants to move on because he wants to play regular first team football. His situation has prompted interest from Tottenham, West Ham and Arsenal, as well as clubs from abroad, wo are free to negotiate with him now, and even offer him a pre-contract agreement.
That has prompted Leicester to make a pre-emptive move, although, under Premier League rules, Lallana needs express permission from his current employers, Liverpool, before he talks with other English clubs.
However, that is unlikely to present a problem because they have made it clear that they will not be offering him a new contract, and they will not stand in his way as he attempts to secure his future.
He has made just three Premier League starts for them this season, and did not even make the squad that flow to Madrid to play Atlético In the Champions League on Tuesday.
