Arsenal are linked with a summer move for Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah.
Whilst the Gunners brought in both Pablo Mari and Cedric Soares on loan during the January window, with the pair expected to join permanently, Mikel Arteta still wants to bring in additional defensive reinforcements during the summer, especially with both David Luiz and Sokratis Papasthapoulos and David Luiz now into their thirties.
Tah, who has been connected with a move to North London in the past, is now firmly in the Gunners’ sights, especially as the player, who is under contract with Leverkusen until 2023, has a release clause of €40 million (£33 million) which is expected to expire this summer, before Euro 2020 starts, where he is expected to feature for Germany.
Tah began his career at Hamburg, but moved to Leverkusen in 2015, and has since gone on to make 167 appearances for them in all competitions.
He has also won 9 senior international caps for his country.
