Manchester United are now the favourites to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund in the summer.
The 19 year old, who recently became the first teenager to score 25 goals in the Bundesliga, is set to leave the German side in the summer and return to England, with both Chelsea and Liverpool interested in signing hi, although Real Madrid maintain a watching brief.
However, United are now reported to have jumped to the head of the queue after offering him £200,000 a week, and a role as a guaranteed starter.
They are also confident that they can get the deal done because former club Manchester City failed at insert an “anti-United” clause in the agreement that took him to Dortmund in 2017. A similar clause was part of the contract when they sold another talented youngster, Brahim Diaz, meaning that City are entitled to a 40% sell-on fee If he eventually ends up at United.
