Former Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho could be set for a return to the Premier League this summer.
The 27 year old Brazilian was sold by the Anfield club to Barcelona for a fee of up to £142 million in January 2018, but he has failed to impress at the Nou Camp, and was loaned out to Bayern Munich at the start of this season.
The agreement with Bayern includes an option to make the deal permanent for £102 million, but he has failed to do enough during his time in Germany to convince the Bundesliga champions to exercise it, and will return to Spain at the end of the season.
However, the player has now been told that Barcelona are prepared to sell him at the end of the season from £77 million, a considerable write-off on their investment.
His potential availability has excited interest from a clutch of Premier League clubs, with both Manchester sides, Chelsea, Tottenham, and former team Liverpool all reported to be interested in bringing him back to England.
