Manchester United’s new deadline day signing Odion Ighalo will miss the team’s training camp in Spain.
The Nigerian international striker was signed by United from the Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua on a six month loan deal and arrived in Manchester last week.
However, with the coronavirus spreading – a number of new cases have been reported over the weekend – there are concerns that border restrictions could tighten and that Ighalo, if he leaves the country, might not be re-admitted.
The virus was first identified in the city of Wuhan, but has since spread across the mainland of China and abroad, with over 700 deaths reported so far, a figure which keeps increasing.
If travel restrictions are imposed it may mean that United will be unable to play the forward in their Europa League campaign, which is due to resume on February 20th, when United travel to Belgium to play Club Brugge.
