Atlético Madrid are considering making a move for former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino to become their next manager in the summer.
Diego Simeone has been in charge of Atlético for eight years, but, having achieved considerable success with them, he is having a disappointing season, and the club are languishing in sixth place in La Liga, and lost the Madrid derby to Real at the weekend.
If they are to make a change at the end of the season, one man in their sights is Pochettino, who has been out of work since being sacked by Tottenham in November.
However, they could face a battle to convince the Argentine to join them, who prefers a return to the Premier League, with Manchester United a more likely destination for him. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is struggling to make United amongst Premier League challengers again and Pochettino has already been linked with the job at Old Trafford on more than one occasion,
