Manchester United have had a change of mind about Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez, and are prepared to offer him a new chance to prove himself with the Premier League club.
The high profile signing from Arsenal in January 2018 enjoyed a nightmare time during his first spell at Old Trafford, scoring just 5 times in 45 appearances. When he left for Inter Milan on a season-long loan at the end of last summer, it was widely assumed that he would never pull on a United short again.
However, with United short of forward options, it has been decided to try and reintegrate him into the club, and now executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has told Sanchez and his agent that they will not sanction a permanent move, and they expect him to return to Manchester at the end of the season.
Sanchez is under contract until 2022,with a weekly salary worth up to £500,000.
