Roma have made contact with Chelsea over the availability of Spanish winger Pedro as an injury crisis has forced them into the transfer market.
The 32 year old has fallen out of favour at Stamford Bridge this season, and has only made 12 first-team appearances, most recently in the FA Cup win away at Hull City last weekend. And, with only six months let on his current contract, Chelsea would be open to him leaving before the transfer window closes, rather than let him walk away for free in six months’ time.
The Serie A side are now set to make a late bid for him as they face an injury crisis. Nicolo Zaniolo is out for the season with an ACL injury, whilst loanees Davide Zappacosta from Chelsea, and Arsenal’s Henrikh Mkhitaryan, are also facing spells on the side-lines. They are also without winger Mirko Antonucci who has an ankle problem, and Amadou Diawara who has an issue with his knee.
