Eddie Nketiah is staying at Arsenal for the rest of the season.
The 20 year old striker spent the first part of the season on loan in the Championship with Leeds United, but, despite scoring five goals for them, he was recalled by the Gunners at the start of the month over a lack of playing time.
He was widely expected to head off for another loan for the remainder of the season, with Bristol City heavily linked with a move for him as they look to mount a promotion surge.
However, after impressing Mikel Arteta in training, Arsenal have had a change of mind, and will keep the England under-21 international at the club to add depth to the squad that still has the FA Cup and Europa League to compete for, and which wants to finish as high up the Premier League table as possible.
With leading striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang suspended for the next three games, Nketiah may soon get his chance at the Emirates.
