Tottenham Hotspur have recalled both Jack Clarke and Cameron Carter-Vickers from their loan spells in the Championship,
19 year old winger Clarke was signed by Spurs in the summer from Leeds United, for a fee in the region of £10 million. As part of the deal he immediately returned to Elland Road for the 2019 – 2020 season to continue his development with them. However, having made just three appearances for them so far this season – once in the league, and twice in the Carabao Cup – Spurs feel he needs to go elsewhere to play regular first-team football.
22 year old Carter-Vickers saw more action with Stoke City, making 15 appearances in all for the Championship strugglers. He may now be sent on loan somewhere else for the rest of the season – it would be his fifth loan spell since 2017. He has made 4 senior appearances for Spurs – two in the FA Cup and two in the League Cup.
