Haaland wants United move

Red Bull Salzburg striker Erling Braut Haaland has told Ole Gunnar Solskjaer that he wants to sign for Manchester United, amidst reports that the Norwegian flew to Austria on Friday to meet with his compatriot.

He is reported to have also visited the United training ground at Carrington.

The 19 year old Leeds-born striker, son of the former Leeds and Manchester City midfielder, Alf-Inge, is valued at £80 million and is considered one of the hottest young properties in Europe, having scored 29 times in just 27 games for Red Bull since making his debut for them at the end of last season.

A clutch of top clubs in Europe are interested in signing him, with Juventus amongst the names at the head of the queue.

Last week he also visited the training grounds at Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig, Red Bull’s sister club in the Bundesliga, and, with a two month winter break coming up in the Austrian league, many believe he could have played his last game for Salzburg.
