Aston Villa are considering making a move for Chelsea forward Pedro in the January transfer window.
The 32-year old finds himself out of favour at Stamford Bridge, having started just one match since the end of October, with Christian Pulisic, Willian and Callum Hudson-Odoi all ahead of him in the pecking order under Frank Lampard.
The Spaniard is out of contract with Chelsea at the end of the season, and, rather than let him leave for free in the summer, he could be available on a cut-price deal in January for a Villa side looking to add experience to their ranks.
Pedro is a highly decorated player, having won 3 Champions League titles and five La Ligas with Barcelona before moving to Chelsea in 2015. Since then he has won the Premier League, the FA Cup and, last season, the Europa League. His collection of medals also gold from the 2010 World Cup and Euro 2012.

He loves all sports but football is his abiding passion, and he still has dreams every now and then about scoring the winning goal in a Wembley Cup Final, even though his playing days are long gone. He follows most major leagues, across Europe at least, and has a favoured team in each. When he’s not watching, listening, reading or downloading podcasts about football, he spend his time worrying about his beloved Arsenal.
