Arsenal are set to cut short Eddie Nketiah’s loan spell with Leeds United.
The 20-year old striker joined Leeds on a season-long loan in August, and has scored 5 goals for the Championship club despite only starting for them twice, with the rest of his appearances coming off the bench.
He has missed the past month with an abdominal injury, but his lack of first-team opportunities at Elland Road have angered the North London club, and they have made Leeds fully aware of their displeasure.
Now they are ready to recall him in January, with a view to arranging another loan spell for him for the second part of the season, where he should see more first team action.
That could well be at Bristol City, who wanted to take the England under-21 international in the summer, and who are in the market for a new forward after losing Benik Afobe, who himself joined on loan from Stoke City, for the rest of the season, side-lined with a serious knee injury.
