Real Madrid are prepared to offer Manchester United £42 million plus teenager Vinicius Junior in a bid to sign Paul Pogba.
The World Cup winner has long been a target for Real boss Zinedine Zidane, and was heavily linked with a move to the Spanish club in the summer after admitting in June he was ready for a new challenge. However, he ended up staying at Old Trafford, because Real failed to meet United’s £150 million valuation of the player.
Now Real could be set to try again to sign the French midfielder by offering cash plus the talents of the Brazilian youngster. Striker Vinicius joined Real in what was a record deal for a player under the age of 19, although he did not move to Spain until he had passed his 18th birthday.
Still only 19, he has so far failed to meet expectations at the Bernabeu, and the arrival of summer signing Eden Hazard from Chelsea. has limited his first team opportunities to just four starts in La Liga, mustering just the one goal to his name.
