Pochettino outlines his future plans

Sacked Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has outlined his future plans which include a return to managing in Europe.

The 47-year old was dismissed at the end of last month despite guiding Spurs to the Champions League final in June, after a poor start to this season. He has since returned to his native Argentina to lick his wounds and recharge his batteries, but he has made it clear that he intends to return to Europe when the right opportunity presents itself, saying “There are a lot of clubs and attractive projects for me to take on. It is my intention to return to manage in Europe.”

Pochettino has been linked with the jobs at Bayern Munch and Real Madrid, as well as Arsenal and Manchester United, although there have been suggestions that there is a clause in his termination agreement with Tottenham that precludes him taking another job with a Premier League club until the end of the season.

Whatever happens, he is unlikely to suffer from a lack of offers, with his reputation still high despite the loss of his job in North London.
