The hopes of Queen’s Park Rangers midfielder, Eberechi Eze, of securing a move to Tottenham Hotspur appears to be at risk following the decision by the North London club to sack Mauricio Pochettino, and replacing him with Jose Mourinho.
Eze, who has been valued at £20 million, has been on radar of a number of Premier League clubs after making a big impression in the EFL Championship for Rangers.
Spurs were leading the race to sign him, and were thought to be lining-up a potential bid in January. However, those plans could now be on hold, with new boss Mourinho informing his current squad that he is not planning to make immediate changes after taking charge at White Hart Lane.
He has been told that there is money available for new signings if he wants it, but is prepared to take the time to weigh up the strength of the current squad before venturing into the transfer market.
