Arsenal face losing their star striking duo of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexander Lacazettte if Unai Emery stays in charge at the Emirates.
Aubameyang is out of contract in 2021, whilst Lacazette has two and a half years left on his current deal, and the Gunners were keen to tie both of them to new long-term contracts.
However, the pair have now put further talks on hold whilst they wait to see what happens with their under-fire manager. Both want to play Champions League football, but with Arsenal’s current run of form, that seems highly improbable at the moment.
If they do not sign new deals, one, or both of them could be sold, with Arsenal not willing to get into a situation where big name players are allowed to run down their contracts, which is the situation that they faced last season with Aaron Ramsey, who eventually moved to Juventus on a free transfer.
