New Tottenham boss Lose Mourinho has told the club’s hierarchy that he does not have to spend a lot of money in the January transfer window.
However, that is not how Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy, and the club’s owner Joe Lewis, like to operate, instead setting the objective of reaching the top four with the minimum of spend.
And, during the negotiations which resulted in Mourinho being offered the job, he made it clear that he was happy with the squad that he was inheriting, and would not be looking to spend major money to enhance it.
