Nemanja Matić is pressing to be allowed to leave Old Trafford in January.
The 31-year old Serbian international has become marginalised at Old Trafford under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and has made just 5 appearances for the club in all competitions this season.
The midfielder has slipped below Scott McTominay and Fred in the pecking order under Solskjaer, and now wants to leave the club, having become dissatisfied with his situation.
He is unlikely to want for offers – Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan, Inter Milan and Juventus – have all been linked with interest in him in the past.
Matić was signed by previous manager Jose Mourinho, following him from Chelsea in July 2017 in a deal worth £40 million.
He is out of contract at the end of the season, so, rather than allow him to leave on a free transfer, United may prefer to try and get some value for him in January. .
