Manchester United are plotting a summer move to bring Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha back to Old Trafford next summer in a £70 million move.
Zaha was Sir Alex Ferguson’s final signing in 2013, but barely featured for United, making just 4 first team appearances, and failing to find the net once, before he moved to Cardiff City on loan, before re-joining Palace.
Now six years older, Zaha is more battle-hardened at the top level, and United feel he would bring much needed pace and creativity to their team. The Ivory Coast international was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal in the summer, having made it known that he wanted to leave Selhurst Park but, in the end, the Gunners opted to sign Nicolas Pépé from Lille Instead.
Zaha would prefer to stay in London, but Palace would prefer it if he did not join one of their neighbouring clubs because of the potential reaction of their fans.
