Juventus scouts were in the stands at Anfield on Sunday to watch the Liverpool versus Tottenham Premier League clash.
And, according to reports, they were there to watch three players in particular – Mo Salah of Liverpool, and the Spurs duo of Son Heung-min and Christian Eriksen.
The three had differing performances.
Salah ended up scoring the winning goal from the penalty spot after Sadio Mané was brought down by Serge Aurier in the box. Son meanwhile was heavily involved in the Tottenham goal. It was his deflected shot that came back off the crossbar for Harry Kane to head home after just 48 seconds. He also could have scored himself, hitting the woodwork with his shot after rounding Allison in the Liverpool goal.
Ironically, it was the player who had the quietest game, Eriksen, who was the main reason for the presence of the Juventus scouts. The Dane can sign a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club in January, because his current deal at White Hart Lane expires next summer, and he has resisted all overtures by the North London club to extend his stay with them.
