Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham is in for a bumper new deal at the club.
That is according to reports which suggest that the 22-year old is close to setting pen to paper on a new contract worth £100,000 a week.
The striker has enjoyed a stunning start to the season, and, alongside Manchester City’s Sergio Agüero, tops the Premier League scoring charts with 8 goals so far this campaign. That form earned him a call-up to the England squad, and he appeared for a few minutes as a late substitute in their European Championship Qualifier defeat to the Czech Republic in Prague.
Abraham, who helped guide Aston Villa to promotion via the play-offs last season, scoring 26 goals in their EFL Championship campaign, has fully repaid the faith that manager Frank Lampard has placed in him this season. And now the former academy graduate is set to be rewarded for his performances with a lucrative new deal.
