Isco could be the man to replace Christian Eriksen at Spurs – provided that the Dane joins Real Madrid.
Eriksen, who has eight months left on his current contract at White Hart Lane, has refused to sign the new long-term deal that has been offered to him by the North London club, and now they are prepared to cash in on him in January, rather than allow him to walk away for free next summer.
27 year old Isco is said to be top of Tottenham’s shopping list to replace him, and he is reportedly open to the idea of leaving the Bernabeu – although any deal is predicated upon Eriksen joining the Spanish club.
Spanish international Isco has found himself out of favour under manager Zinedine Zidane this season, and has played just 104 minutes of first-team football so far this campaign. That is despite him having won four Champions League winners medal, a league title, a Copa del Rey, and 4 Club World Cups since signing from Málaga in 2013.
