Mauricio Sarri wants two of his former Chelsea players to join him at his new club, Juventus.
The 60 year old Italian took over the reins of the Serie A champions after leaving Stamford Bridge at the end of last season, and has made an impressive start to his new job. Juventus have won six out of their first seven games in the league, and top the table by a point from Inter Milan, who they beat just before the international break.
Despite this, he would still like to strengthen his squad even further, by going back to his old club to sign two players he rates very highly, full-back Emerson Palmeiri and French midfielder N’Golo Kanté.
Neither will be easy to prise away from West London. Palmeiri has entered talks about a new deal with Chelsea, whilst Kanté is regarded as “untransferrable” by Frank Lampard and his management team.
