Manchester United have a verbal agreement in place with Juventus striker Mario Mandžukić, and he will move to Old Trafford on January 1st.
That is according to reports from Italy, with the 33 year old having turned down a move worthy £7 million a year to move to Qatari side Al-Rayyan, preferring to stay in Europe instead.
Mandžukić was linked with a move to United in the summer, but ultimately ended-up staying in Italy. However, now he looks set to move to the Premier League in the New Year, promising some relief to United’s striker crisis. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have found the net just 9 times in 8 Premier League matches this season.
The experienced Croatian international has scored 44 games in 162 appearances for Juventus since his move from Atlético Madrid, but has not featured at all for the Serie A champions so far this season under new manager Maurizio Sarri.
