Manchester United will demand £20 million for goalkeeper Dean Henderson.
The highly gifted under-21 international is currently on loan at Sheffield United, and catching the eye with a series of impressive defences, despite making a major blunder on Saturday when he allowed Gini Wijnaldum’s shot to squirm into the net, giving Liverpool the winner.
Despite that, Henderson is likely to face no shortage of suitors for his signature, and, although Sheffield United hope to be at the front of the queue, a bidding war could be on the cards for the 22 year old.
With David de Gea having signed a new contract at Old Trafford, Henderson who has ambitions to play for England, realises that he may have to leave United if he wants to realise his dreams.
Chris Wilder, his manager at Bramall lane though had some harsh words for Henderson after his mistake at the weekend saying “This is a real tough sport. I’m certainly not going to put my arm around him and rub his head.
“We set a high bar. It always amazes me when pundits talk about not criticising players in the press.
“This game has been beamed around the world. There’s no hiding place.”
