Manager Mauricio Pochettino has admitted that Tottenham are likely to be busy in January.
He was speaking after Spurs suffered a shock defeat to Colchester United in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night losing to the League Two side on penalties. And although Pochettino’s side had a smattering of youth, with forward Troy Parrott and defender Japhit Tanganga both making their debuts, there was also a good deal of experience included as well, with Dele Alli, Victor Wanyama, Lucas Moura and Davinson Sanchez all starting, and Christian Eriksen, Son Hueng-min, and Erik Lamela all coming off the bench.
Afterwards, the Argentina talked about “different agendas in the squad”, saying “we are working so hard to put everyone on the same page. Only we need time.
“January is going to be a good opportunity too to fix this situation and the next one”
Pochettino was referring to a summer of discontent at White Hart lane, with several influential players, including Eriksen, and defenders Jan Vertonghen, Danny Rose and Toby Alderweireld all heavily linked with moves away from the club, only to end up staying.
Now he is suggesting that the squad may need to be overhauled as Tottenham look to restore harmony to the club.
