Angel Gomes is the latest player who Manchester United are hoping to sign to a new deal.
The 19-year old made his first start for the senior side in their home victory over the Kazakh side FC Astana on Thursday night in the Champions League, having been promoted to the first team squad along with Tahith Chong.
Both are out of contract next year, and they are keen to try and get both players to commit to the club on a long-term basis, with other clubs potentially circling, including Barcelona, who have shown interest in the England youth international.
Gomes has been with the United academy since he was six years old, but it is by no means certainhe will agree to a new deal. He is close friends with Jadon Sancho, and has seen how the former Manchester City player has flourished since he left England and moved to the Bundesliga.
