A trio of Italian clubs – Juventus, Inter and AC Milan – are interested in signing Manchester United midfielder, Nemanja Matić.
The 31-year old Serbian international is out of contract at Old Trafford next summer, and, although the club have the option of another year, it is by no means certain that they will choose to exercise it.
Matić appears to be on the fringes of the first-team this season, and had made just one appearance as a substitute for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men before an injury crisis prompted his recall against Leicester City on the weekend. However, he did little to convince his manager that he should be a regular starter, and was replaced by Fred in the 67th minute.
Juventus were interested in signing Paul Pogba in the summer but, having missed out on him, may continue their policy of finding value in free transfers by picking up the Serb at the end of the season. However, they can expect to face competition from their two Milanese rivals.
