Spurs still interested in Dybala

Tottenham have not given up their interest in Juventus playmaker Paolo Dybala, and could make another bid to sign the Argentine international in January. However, they are likely to face serious competition from Ligue 1 Champions PSG.

Spurs were in talks with Dybala’s representatives over a summer move, but ultimately discussions stalled over his wage demands, and image rights.

No other club came in for the player, so he remains at Juventus for the time being, but he remains a peripheral figure in Turin, limited to substitute appearances under new manager Maurizio Sarri.

Meanwhile Dybala has been identified by PSG as the long-term replacement for Neymar. Like Dybala, the Brazilian remains at his current club in January, but there is a widespread belief that he may leave Paris in January.

And, even if Neymar stays beyond that, the French club may still want Dybala on loan, with an option to buy him at the end of the season.
