Chelsea are hoping that teenager Callum Hudson-Odoi will be ready to make his first-team return once the international break has concluded. The winger is yet to play for the club this season, as he continues his recovery from the Achilles injury he picked up in the home match against Burnley in April.
However, much as the club’s supporters will be glad to see him pull on a blue shirt again, they will be less than happy that his future at Stamford Bridge still remains uncertain. Those doubts appeared to have been lifted in the summer when reports emerged suggesting that the England international had agreed a new five year deal worth £180,000 to stay with the West London club.
However, that new contract has yet to be signed, and Bayern Munich, who have already had four bids for the player turned down, are waiting in the wings, continually monitoring his situation.
