Manchester United have finally agreed a move with Inter Milan for Chilean forward Alexis Sánchez to move to the Serie A side on loan.
That was after a compromise was reached between the two clubs as to the amount of Sánchez’s wages that the Serie A side would have to pay. Inter Milan have agreed to pay €5 million (£4.5 million) of his annual salary, leaving United to pay the rest of his wages which tital up to £505,000 a week including bonuses.
United’s decision to sanction the move carries an element of risk though. The departure of Sánchez will leave Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with only three senior strikers, Marcus Rashford, Anthony martial, and Mason Greenwood, who is very inexperienced at Premier League level.
And those resources are set to be depleted eveb further with the news that Martial could be out of action for several weeks with the thigh injury that he picked up in the home defeat to Crystal Palace.
