Victor Wanyama linked with Belgian move

Tottenham midfielder Victor Wanyama has been linked with a move to Belgian side Club Brugge before their transfer window closes on September 2nd.

The 28-year old Kenyan international has seen his progress at White Hart Lane hampered by injuries over the past two years, and made only four starts last season. He has not featured at all in the current campaign, and has fallen down the pecking order under Mauricio Pochettino with the arrival of record signing Tanguy Ndombélé from Lyon, with Harry Winks, Moussa Sissoko, and Oliver Skipp all ahead of him in the midfield queue.

He was linked with a deadline day loan move to West Ham, but that collapsed at the last minute.

The Belgian side, who have already signed goalkeeper Simon Mignolet from Liverpool on a free transfer, have money available to buy Wanyama, who is rated at £18 million, having sold Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld to Bournemouth, and Marvelous Nakamba to Aston Villa.
