Real Madrid are set to table a last minute bid of £60 million to sign Tottenham Hotspur playmaker Christian Eriksen.
The 27 year old has been on Real’s radar for much of the summer after indicating at the end of last season that he was open to new challenges away from White Hart Lane.
However, no firm offer for the Dane has yet to be received, and Tottenham are still hopeful that he can be persuaded to agree a new deal with them worth £200,000 a week.
Now though Real are prepared to test the resolve of Spurs to keep the player by tabling a bid at the last minute before the Spanish transfer window closes on September 2nd.
Tottenham will then have a difficult decision to make. Accept the money on offer now or risk the player walking away for free in 10 months’ time when his current contract runs out.
