The news that Jadon Sancho is likely to leave Borussia Dortmund next summer has put elite clubs across Europe on high alert, with Manchester United and neighbours City likely to join the bidding war for the teenager who is likely to cost in excess of £100 million.
The 19-year old has been a sensation since arriving at the Bundesliga side in 2017, but club officials believe that it will be very difficult to keep him beyond the end of the current season, and have already begun to look for a replacement.
United have a long-standing interest in the England forward, who already has six international caps to his name, and even considered making a bid for him this summer. However, City, whom Sancho left to join Dortmund, insisted on inserting a clause in his contract at the time, insisting that they be kept informed of any bids for him, so that they could make a counter offer.
