Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren believes that his time in England is coming to an end as he looks set to leave Anfield before the European transfer windows close.
The 30-year old Croatian no longer features in Jurgen Klopp’s plans, and was left out completely of their squad for the opening day fixture against Norwich City on Friday night.
Now he looks set to move away from the club he joined in 2013 from Southampton, and is even prepared to lower his wage demands as he looks to secure a new club, with Serie A’s Roma heavily linked with the player who has made 170 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions
Lovren has fallen down the pecking order under Klopp, with Joe Gomez the preferred partner to Virgil van Dijk at the back under Klopp. And when Gomez was forced to miss most of last season through injury, it was Joel Matip that was chosen to replace him rather than Lovren.
