Romelu Lukaku secured his desired move to Inter Milan on deadline day.
Now reports are emerging how his last days at Manchester United were soured by acrimony.
First, the Belgian striker was given a huge dressing down by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after Lukaku leaked the results of a confidential sprint speed test, which embarrassed Luke Shaw who came last.
Then he missed the bus taking the team to the stadium for their pre-season friendly with Spurs in Shanghai. Rather than wait for Lukaku, assistant manager Mike Phelan ordered the bus driver to set off the ground without him, and the Belgian had to make his own way to the airport for their subsequent flight home.
At the airport Lukaku asked security staff why they had let the bus go without him, at which point Phelan got involved and laid into him accusing the 26-year old of a lack of professionalism.
