Liverpool are considering making a late move in the transfer market to sign forward François Kamano who currently plays for Bordeaux.
Jurgen Klopp is looking for cover for his front three of Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mané, and although Divock Origi has signed a new contract at the club, he is tempted to bring in Kamano to provide extra cover, especially as all of his regulars are short of match fitness, because their pre-season preparations have been truncated after returning late to training because of international commitments over the summer.
Kamano who is 23 years old is a Guinea international, and is valued at around £20 million.
The Anfield side have been quiet in the current transfer window, with just two deals completed so far, both teenagers – defender Sepp van der Bergen from PEC Zwolle, and former Fulham winger Harvey Elliott. However, with the demands of the Premier League and the Champions League to come, as well as the two additional games that come with the Club World Cup in December, Kamano may yet arrive on Merseyside to share the workload.
