Spurs make contact with Juventus over Dybala

Tottenham have been linked with a bold move for Juventus forward Paolo Dybala, following reports that they have made enquiries with Juventus about his availability.

The 25-year old mercurial Argentine is regarded as one of the finest forwards in the world, but has become marginalised at Juventus since the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo, and the Italian champions are willing to listen to offers for him.

To secure him though, Spurs would have to break their transfer record for the second time this summer, having already paid Lyon £65 million for Tanguy Ndombélé.

The Tottenham squad is currently short of strikers. Vincent Janssen has been sold to Mexican club Monterrey, whilst Fernando LLorente has left on a free transfer. That leaves only 17 year old Troy Parrott as specialist back-up to Harry Kane, although Heung-min Son and Lucas Moura can also play up-front. However, bringing in Dybala would be a hugely audacious supplement to their attacking threat.
