Manchester United are close to agreeing a deal to sign Lazio’s Serbian midfielder Sergej Milinković-Savic.
The 24-year old is set to move to Old Trafford for a fee of €75 million (£68 million) plus bonuses on a five year deal. The player has been linked before with a move to United when Jose Mourinho was in charge at Old Trafford, but this time a deal looks closer to fruition, after Lazio were forced to admit that they may be forced to sell the player.
At the same time, links between Paul Pogba and Real Madrid continue to strengthen, with suggestions that United have accelerated their pursuit of Milinković-Savic ion anticipation of losing their French World Cup winner. There are suggestions that the Spanish club have already agreed personal terms with Pogba, and are now set to negotiate a transfer fee with United.
Ironically perhaps, Milinkovic-Savic is known as the Paul Pogba of Serbia.
