After weeks of talks and rumours, Inter Milan have made a new revised bid to sign Romelu Lukaku from Manchester United.
That is according to Sky Sports who report that the Serie A side have offered £60 million plus bonuses for the Belgian international.
The new offer is an improvement on Inter’s first approach which was for an initial two year loan, plus three transfer instalments of £9 million, £27 million, and £27 million respectively to be paid in three successive years.
However, the amount is still someway short of the valuation which United have put on the player, as they look to recoup the £79 million that they paid Everton for the 26 year old two years ago.
The Serie A club are hoping though that a compromise can be reached, with United eager to settle for a lesser sum now, giving them sufficient time to sign a replacement before the English transfer deadline window shuts in just over three weeks’ time.
